Created by a team in Co. Cork with a passion for authenticity, integrity and provenance, the elixir within this bottle is the new revelation of an Irish tradition dating back to the 17th century.
This Apple Brandy begins with the meticulous distillation of our finest ciders, before being entrusted to an extraordinary journey of maturation.
A marriage of four exceptional casks - Limousin oak, Oloroso Sherry, Burgundy red wine and Virgin French oak - each imparts its own character, weaving together layers of depth, richness and finesse.
The result is an exquisitely complex brandy – one that lingers not only on the palate, but in the memory.
Founded in 2010 in Nohoval, County Cork, Stonewell Cider has earned its place among Ireland’s most revered craft cider producers. Established by Daniel and Geraldine Emerson, the cidery was built on an uncompromising ambition: to create cider of exceptional character, rooted in Irish orchards and guided by time-honoured methods.
Yet the pursuit of excellence did not end there.
Inspired by Geraldine’s French lineage and Daniel’s deep appreciation for the great Calvados houses of Normandy, the Emersons set their sights on a more ambitious expression of the apple. They envisioned a spirit that would honour both traditions — the elegance of French apple brandy and the richness of Irish terroir — while standing distinctly on its own.
That vision began to take form in 2020. Through the careful distillation of their finest, slow-fermented ciders, and with a steadfast commitment to craft, they laid down the first casks of what would become Orr Irish Apple Brandy. Matured patiently, guided by instinct and experience, the spirit reflects a rare pedigree — one defined by provenance, precision, and time.
Now, after years of quiet maturation, Orr emerges.
